iMovie Trailer Review
This was my first time using iMovie app on iPad. I chose to make a trailer over how to do a Socratic seminar, to get students engaged and excited about participating in a Socratic discussion. The actual app was pretty easy to use, other than I could not figure out how to delete a picture once I set in the slot. I ended up just scrapping that trailer and starting over, which wasn't too big of a deal since it was the first slide. The outline style was easy to understand and pretty much all editable. I used pictures from Haiku Deck, some with text on top and some just pictures. The themes were all very creative, and I liked that they came with music and fonts already. I think this is a fantastic method of teaching that gives students a brief glimpse of a topic in an engaging and entertaining, familiar venue. I would definitely use this in my classroom.
